Expired Gouache Botanical Study

In this four-session class we will start by familiarizing ourselves with gouache paint, its properties and painting techniques. We will first paint a bouquet of whimsical illustrated flowers full of variations of blooms, leaves, sprigs and colors. Next, we will paint an infographic-like display of various house-plant leaves. The following session we will paint a tropical grouping of botanicals against a black background and lastly, we will paint a fun terrarium scene featuring cute mushrooms. By the end of this class students will have completed four works of art and gained the tools to feel proficient painting in gouache. This class is great for the beginner as well as the intermediate painter.
