Sold Out FUNCTIONAL AND SCULPTURAL HANDBUILDING IN CLAY
6 Weeks: Wednesday, September 13 – October 18 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

In this class, you will learn to design and make hand built pottery and ceramic sculpture using various techniques such as: slab construction, coil pots, pinch pots, extruder construction, and surface texture. The potter’s wheel will also be incorporated for those interested in learning how to use the wheel as a tool for making sculptural and functional objects. Glazing will also be covered during this program. Students will be encouraged to expand on what they have learned and take projects in their own direction during the class. The cost of this course includes 16 hours per week of free open studio time for extra practice.
