2 Day Workshop with Leah Meleski
Friday, March 18, 2022
5:30–8:30pm
Saturday, March 19, 2022
11:00am–4:00pm
This two-day workshop introduces how to flush set a faceted gemstone into a ring. Flush setting is a very sleek, subtle technique that allows the stone to sit “flush” with the surface of the ring. We’ll start with thick sterling silver wire and review how to size, solder, polish & prepare a ring that we can then set stones into. We will focus on making a setting tool, cutting a seat for each setting, and setting the stones “flush” into the surface of the ring. Students will leave with samples and a sparkly, stunning new ring full of bling!
This is an intermediate class. You must have taken Metalsmithing & Jewelry 1 or Beginning Jewelry.
