5 Week Class with Kat Houseman

Wednesdays, February 23–March 23, 2022

6:30–8:00pm

Here’s your chance to play in oil! Learn techniques used by Kat to create bold and painterly animal portraits. From surface prep to the finishing touches participants will get to create a piece from beginning to end. Supplies will be provided but please bring a picture or reference material for the image you want to create. As in Your beloved pet or favorite animal.

Kat will begin each class with a short discussion and warm-up exercises for drawing, seeing color and shadow and of course mixing paint. Participants will progress on their piece each week gaining knowledge they can use in their home studios and personal art creation. This is a chance to use loose brushstrokes and bold colors! All skill levels welcome.
