1-Day Workshop with Leah Meleski

In this workshop you will learn the basics of creating a stunning sterling silver pendant with a cabochon gemstone. Students will learn how to cut, texture, patina, and set a cabochon into a pre-made bezel setting on sterling silver. A cabochon is a gemstone that has been shaped and polished smooth with a flat back rather than facets. Students will leave with a solid foundation of metalsmithing skills and a beautiful new sterling silver pendant!

MATERIALS TO BRING
Students are encouraged to bring a pencil and a sketchbook/notebook and are required to wear closed-toed shoes and be able to tie long hair back for safety.
