The Jansen Art Center Ceramics Studio is excited to present the 7th Annual Cup Show, an exhibit featuring 90 ceramic cups from 31 different cities, 14 different states from the US & Canada.
During the reception, guests voted for the People’s Choice Award for their favorite cup in the show and then there was a short awards ceremony announcing the winner of the People’s Choice Award in addition to the Judge’s Awards (Judge’s Choice, Most Inventive Use of Technique and Material, Most Inventive Concept and Honorable Mention). There are nine awards totaling over $1000 in cash and prizes.
Prizes have been made possible from the exhibit sponsors; The Mount Baker Rotary Club, Griffin Grip, Tony’s Coffee & Teas, Clay Art Center, Washington Clay Arts Association, Whatcom Artists of Clay & Kiln, Green Barn and the Fraser Valley Potters Guild.

Excellence in Craftmanship: #54 “Beach Mug” by Holly McKeen from Chilliwack, BC.
Most inventive use of technique and material: #59 “Sweets Cup” by Liv Morgenstern from Seattle, WA.
3rd Place: #43 “Gesture Cup” by Clay Leonard from Webster, TX.
2nd Place: #77 “Mountain Morning Mug” by Zoe Peterson from Deming, WA.
1st Place: “Bird Mug” by Ryan Myers from Madison, WI.
Judge’s Choice: #86 Blue One Eyed Alien Cup by Masa Sasaki from Atlanta, GA.
People’s Choice: “Bird Mug” by Ryan Myers from Madison, WI.
