Join us for a multimedia experience of Rebekah’s 2 albums, Emerge and Journey, accompanied by Radu Sava’s local nature films. With the help of layered and looped cello, you’re invited to journey through layers of emotions and layers of the psyche of a one-woman orchestra. Some compositional elements come from her formal classical training, and others from the music she’s inspired by, from minimalism and ambient to crossover and singer-songwriters. The albums were mixed and mastered by Grammy-winning sound engineer Oz Fritz.

Rebekah is a classically trained cellist (Bachelor and Master in Cello Performance from The Hartt School, CT, and a Graduate Performance Degree from The Longy School, MA). She writes with a contemporary film music twist within post-minimalist and contemporary classical styles. After enjoying 15+ years of performing with a dozen professional orchestras along the West Coast, Rebekah found her own voice in layered, looping melodies. She also has 25+ years of experience as a Suzuki teacher of violin, viola, and vello.
