UpcomingBeginning Linocut Printmaking

1 Day Workshop with Sarah Lane
Thursday, April 20, 2023
6:00-8:30pm
Linocut (linoleum carving) is a relief printmaking technique that allows the artist to transform a simple design into a printed work of art with surprising and delightful results. In this workshop, we will learn about relief printmaking, become familiar with the tools and techniques of linocut and create a satisfying 4×6” linocut print. Linocut allows you, the artist, to make a small batch of bold and creative cards or prints, and while the design that you print may be the same, each print is unique. For this beginning class, we will use pink rubber in the place of linoleum to support good safety and technique. We will also use water-soluble inks for easy cleanup.
