1 Day Workshop with Judy Zugish

Saturday, July 22, 2023
9:00am–5:00pm

Sounds like a dance step; “doin’ the two-two twill” and it’s oh-so-much fun with prepared red cedar bark, natural or dyed for contrast. Combine a classically great material and a rhythmical weavers’ technique to make the first of many great baskets. So versatile, these “steps” can be interpreted in a lovely rising rectangle or freestyle graceful tune – finished with an exquisite folded border or go funky with lashing. The elements are timeless, and simplified or sophisticated; this piece reaches and teaches all levels, leaving the weaver with a timeless prize – ancient cedar renewed.
