Dye Studio Grand Opening During Celebrate 5 Years at the J!

August 5, 1:00-4:00 pm Alley Workshop

The Jansen Art Center invites you to visit the Alley Workshop between 1:00 and 4:00pm, Saturday, August 5 for the grand opening of our dye studio program.  Come and see:

• How to dye cotton in radiant colors to use in quilts, clothing and home décor.
• How to dye wool yarn to use in knitting, crochet and weaving.
• How to create beautiful patterns on fabric using Shibori, a Japanese form or tie dyeing
• How to use resists to make exciting creations with just a little bleach or other common household products

Watch our artists demonstrate how to do all of these things and more and see samples of what you can make in upcoming classes offered throughout the fall and into the future. Most of these techniques can be done by both adults and kids.  So bring the whole family!   This event is part of the Celebrate 5 Years at the J event on Saturday, August 5.
