elizabeth-larson   Elizabeth Larson Painting Studio Instructor Elizabeth grew up in Germany as well as the United States and earned a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Washington in 2012.  She also studied under Israel Hershberg at the Jerusalem Studio School from 2013- 2015.

  Weaving Demo   Joyce Noordmans Weaving & Pastels Instructor In retirement, pastel painting and textiles both gain radiant colors as landscapes of Colorado. Workshops include those with Tony Ortega, Jan Meyers, Susan Olgilvie, Susan Bennerstrom and several tapestry teachers.

karen-visser-150x150   Karen Visser Music Studio Instructor Karen Visser has been teaching students of all ages for over 30 years. She currently has students ranging in age from 5 – 65 at her studio in her home in Lynden.

The preparation of materials is slow, but care taken is rewarded later when the weaving begins. The process of weaving is as important as the product, repetitive, soothing, and meticulous; consciously building a beautiful fabric for constructive purpose.”

    Steve Herrick Director of the Jansen Jazz Band Mr. Herrick has served on the Executive Board for San Juan Music Educator’s Association and as event chairman for many honor festivals and large group contests. Mr. Herrick has been a clinician and guest conductor for instrumental Solo and Ensemble events and Honor Festivals as well as a presenter for many educational in-services throughout Whatcom, Island, and Skagit Counties.
