“When I gather plant fibers in a responsible manner from forest, wetlands, desert and garden, it ties me to the land and to the seasons. The preparation of materials is slow, but care taken is rewarded later when the weaving begins. The process of weaving is as important as the product, repetitive, soothing, and meticulous; consciously building a beautiful fabric for constructive purpose.”
