THE FIREHALL CAFE IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED

In light of the most recent directives issued by the Governor’s office to continue to limit the spread of COVID-19, and because the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and visitors are always our highest priority, we have made the difficult decision to again close the Jansen Art Center until further notice.

We look forward to the day when we can open again and welcome you back to the J in person.

The Firehall Café is located inside the Jansen Art Center on the main floor. The great food, drinks, and creative atmosphere help the art center come alive for all who teach, take classes, or visit the J. The café hosts free music on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday evenings.

Once home to the Lynden Fire Department, the Café offers coffee, a range of wines, local beer and cider on tap,  as well as sandwiches, soups and salads. Replicas of the original Fire Hall doors open onto Front Street to provide open air seating on sunny days. Artists like Lorna Libert have painted the tables such as the cow shown above. The Piano Lounge offers visitors the opportunity to listen to live music and step out onto the deck for views of Mount Baker.
