THE FIREHALL CAFE

firehall-cafe-300x300

The Firehall Café is located inside the Jansen Art Center and takes part in the mission to be a place for artists to create, teach, share, and engage the community in the arts. The great food, drinks, and creative atmosphere help the art center come alive for all who teach, take classes or visit the J.

HOURS:
Tuesday & Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Thursday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Friday & Saturday: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Once home to the Lynden Fire Department, the Café offers Tony’s coffee, Kulshan beer on tap, a range of wines, as well as sandwiches, soups and salads. Replicas of the original Fire Hall doors open onto Front Street to provide open air seating on sunny days. Artists like Lorna Libert have painted the tables such as the cow shown above. The Piano Lounge offers visitors the opportunity to listen to live music and step out onto the deck for views of Mount Baker.
