Art ala C’Arte Submission Form

  • Complete the following form to submit your artwork for the Art ala C’Arte exhibit at the Jansen Art Center. Before you begin, you will want to make sure you have the following:

    Artist Statement: Artist statements are posted near your artwork. You can include information about yourself as an artist and/or about the work you are submitting for this exhibit. 200 words or less.

    Artwork Label Information: For each work you submit, you will be asked for the title, dimensions, medium and retail price. This information is used for creating labels for your work and must be accurate.

    Images: Please submit clear, well cropped images of your artwork. We choose from these images for our exhibit posters and online marketing Files must be named with your last name, followed by a dash or underscore, and the piece title. Example: smith_title.

  • Your artist statement will be printed and displayed next to your pieces. Artist statements must be 200 words or less.
  • I agree that the Jansen Art Center has my permission to use images of my accepted artwork for marketing purposes (exhibit poster, website, press releases, social media platforms, etc.) Your response will have no bearing on the jury's decision in selecting artwork for this exhibit.
  • I am interested in being interviewed by local and consent to sharing my email address with journalists to facilitate interviews.

    SUBMISSIONS AND CONSIGNMENT:
    By submitting this form, the artist agrees to the following Consignment Agreement terms for the accepted pieces of artwork to be included in the exhibit:
    The Jansen Art Center reserves the right to hang and display all consigned art on our walls and in our virtual galleries. The artist grants exclusivity to the Jansen Art Center during the agreement period. All art will be for sale unless noted otherwise. The artist determines the retail price, which cannot be changed after signing this agreement. The artist will receive a commission split of 60% of the retail price and the Jansen Art Center will receive 40%. The Jansen Art Center will collect and pay 100% of the sales tax based on the selling price. Upon the sale of art, payment will be mailed by the 15th of the following month. The Jansen Art Center does not ship artwork. Artists are responsible for picking up their work or arranging for return shipment. The Jansen Art Center assumes full responsibility of work lost, stolen, or damaged while in our possession from the date of delivery to the art center through 30 days following the exhibit closing upon which time the Artist Consignment Agreement expires. Requests for items to be left longer than this time must be approved by a Jansen Art Center staff member. Work left unclaimed after 30 days becomes the property of the Jansen Art Center. The Jansen Art Center will not pay for missing items after the Consignment Agreement has expired.
